Always carried out on arrival night, this fun activity familiarises visitors with our site and introduces a bit of French. With help from our instructors, children must decipher clues in French in order to find objects that help them build useful phrases or words in French.

An engaging opportunity to pit your wits against the quizmaster, your teachers and other schools. Questions can be asked and answered in either English or French…
French Quiz and Fancy Dress
Wednesdays and Saturday are our French-themed evenings. After a meal incorporating les cuisses de grenouilles et les éscargots the children participate in a cross between a quiz and bingo all about France.
Once the winning team has announced themselves by yelling Gagné!, the Games Room transforms into a catwalk, where children show off their traditional (and otherwise) French costumes and teachers choose a winner from their respective groups.
Château Olympics
An hilarious set of team activities and games designed for thrills and spills. Particularly during the summer months, The Games can take advantage of the warm French evenings and chateau grounds.
Talent Show and Disco
Traditionally held on the final night of your stay. Throughout the week your Group Leader will encourage the children to put together a performance highlighting their best talents – we have everything from guitarists, singers and dancers to French songs, football skills and acting with the odd comedian added for good measure.
Hot Chocolate is provided every evening after the entertainments and before bedtime.
